NEW YORK--()--Denihan Hospitality, (“Denihan” or the “Company”) a full service hospitality company, is excited to announce that it will be hosting four certified New York City Department of Education’s Career and Technical Education instructors this summer for a two-week externship program at its The Benjamin and Shelburne Hotel & Suites by Affinia. Instructors will translate important aspects of business management and operations to inform their curriculum and teaching practice.

“This externship program is an extension of our commitment to service communities in which we do business,” said Gul Goknar Turkmenoglu, Regional Vice President of Operations for Denihan Hospitality. “We believe the educators in this program—and by extension their students—will share our approach to brand management, customer interaction, employee engagement and value creation.”

Over the course of four weeks this summer, teachers will shadow management teams to learn our principles on effective management and sustainability.

“We are thrilled for Denihan to partner with us in our mission to improve education and classroom learning,” said John Widlund, Executive Director, Career and Technical Education of the New York City Department of Education. “We hope our teachers will be able to take what they’ve learned back to the classroom and better serve our students.”
