BATON ROUGE, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) launched an online portal to enhance its successful Certified Louisiana logo program. Businesses across Louisiana now have a digital commodity at their fingertips to apply for and renew Certified Louisiana, Certified Cajun, Certified Creole, and Certified Farm to Table logos for their products.
With the online resource, paper applications are a thing of the past for the department to determine whether an agricultural product or agritourism activity is eligible to be labeled with a certified logo. The LDAF cultivated the seamless online portal to offer improved design, visual appeal, and an unmatched user experience for each account holder. The new application can be accessed from a desktop, tablet or smartphone with a consistent look and feel due to the application’s responsive framework.
“This program puts Louisiana companies at an advantage,” said LDAF Commissioner Mike Strain, D.V.M. “The online resource makes it easy for farmers, processors, producers, and suppliers to promote their products to consumers.”
Certified Louisiana logos were established to promote Louisiana made, grown, manufactured or processed products aimed at enhancing and promoting Louisiana’s agricultural industry. The online portal was developed by e-government specialists, Louisiana Interactive, to match the existing modern website design while providing a secure and reliable environment to conduct business.
