Q-nomy was named in two categories: “Real-Time Health System Platform” and “Patient Self-Service Kiosks”.
Gartner’s report identifies technologies critical to the formation of a real-time health system (RTHS), and is considered an essential reference for healthcare CIOs assessing the value of RTHS-enabling technologies. It is the third successive year that Gartner has cited Q-nomy as a Sample Vendor in this prestigious report.
A Real-Time Health System Platform is defined by Gartner as software that “acquires, accrues, analyzes and translates operational intelligence into enterprise action”. The RTHS Platform category benefit rating is “Transformational”, i.e. the highest priority benefit. This category evolved from the RTHS Orchestration category that was included in the Gartner Hype Cycle report for the first time last year, in which Q-nomy had also been named.
Q-nomy was also cited as a sample vendor in the category of Patient Self-Service Kiosks. This category includes free-standing displays that enable patients to perform various tasks, such as new-patient registration, checking-in, wayfinding directions and making payments. Self-service kiosks make a major contribution to the patient experience when they are implemented properly. Gartner notes that along with improved customer convenience and data quality, these kiosks offer opportunities to engage the patient, reduce patient wait times and improve the workflow.
