NEW YORK--()--Barclays today launches The Flip Side podcast series, featuring in-depth debates between Barclays’ Research analysts on critical topics facing economies and businesses around the globe.

The Flip Side podcast is available at Apple Podcasts and Google Play Music. New episodes will be available each month.

“Barclays hopes clients will come away with a greater understanding of the economic implications of sometimes polarizing issues by hearing arguments and insights on both sides,” says Jeff Meli, Co-Head of Research. “Launching this podcast is one way we continue to deliver on our ambitious mission to affect clients’ decision-making through independent, thought-leading, differentiated research.”

In the first episode of The Flip Side, Jeff Meli sits down with Marvin Barth, Head of FX and Emerging Markets Macro Research, to debate some of the factors contributing to the state of global trade conflict. Jeff and Marvin debate issues ranging from protectionism, to inflation, to what the potential implications of a trade war may be on the U.S. and the global economy.
