GearLaunch Expands Executive Team With Three New Ecommerce Industry Veteran Hires

Recent Additions Bolster Marketing, Finance and Sales Capabilities

SAN FRANCISCO--()--GearLaunch, the leading E2E commerce platform, today announced a series of senior executive team additions including a new Chief Financial Officer Tripti Thakur, Head of Marketing Craig Hammond and Head of Sales Cory Rich. Hailing from companies including MyPoints.com, Prodege, and Peejamas, the team will strengthen GearLaunch’s executive capabilities and will support their recent expanded footprint with its new office opening.

As part of an emerging “extreme outsourcing” movement within the ecommerce realm, GearLaunch aims to bring a new level of opportunity to the ecommerce market. While many companies are emerging to help independents and entrepreneurs perform all necessary duties, GearLaunch has taken the model one step further by housing all services under one roof and bringing the opportunity to the widest possible base of independent entrepreneurs.

Joining as CFO, Tripti Thakur is a finance veteran with experiences at Fortune 10, Wall Street, and Internet companies. Thakur most recently has spent 10 years in online loyalty as a Vice President for both Prodege, LLC and MyPoints.com, concentrating primarily on FP&A and Business Operations. Prior to MyPoints, she was an equity sell-side analyst covering small-cap financials for a boutique research firm after starting her career at AT&T in its Financial Leadership program. Thakur received her Bachelor’s Degree from Baruch College and her Master’s Degree from New York University.

Newly appointed as the Head of Marketing, Craig Hammond has been called-on multiple times throughout his career to establish, build, and develop both businesses and departments in growing companies. Most recently before joining GearLaunch, he built his own children’s pajama company that achieved immediate success, including holding the current record for the highest funded children’s apparel product in crowdfunding history. In his career, he has helped businesses scale globally, led the creation of marketing departments and strategy, and had numerous companies he’s helped start go through acquisition. Hammond holds a BA from the University of Utah and a MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

He has been in key sales leadership positions within several rapidly expanding young companies. Prior to joining GearLaunch, Rich played key sales leadership roles in two venture-backed healthcare companies that have revolutionized their respective spaces. His move to GearLaunch combines his passion for ecommerce with his extensive background and knowledge of sales, leadership and go-to-market strategy. He has taken over as Head of Sales at GearLaunch and will be leading efforts to break into new markets and empower entrepreneurs everywhere to build and scale ecommerce businesses.
