SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FanX® Salt Lake Comic Convention™ (http://FanXSaltLake.com/) announced today that two-time Academy Award Winner Ben Affleck will appear at FanX® 2018 that takes place on September 6-8, 2018 at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
Affleck is an award winning actor and filmmaker. Affleck burst onto the scene in 1997 when he and his childhood friend Matt Damon won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Good Will Hunting. Since then he’s starred in a number of blockbusters including Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, The Sum of All Fears, Forces of Nature, The Town, Argo and The Accountant.
He’s also a beloved superhero, starting with Daredevil in 2003 and then beginning in 2016 as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad in the DC Extended Universe. Most recently he resumed his role as Batman in Justice League.
In addition to his Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Good Will Hunting, Affleck was nominated for a Golden Globe for Hollywoodland. He won a Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for Best Director and a Golden Globe, BAFTA and Academy Award for Argo which he directed, co-produced and starred. Over the course of his career he’s won two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, two BAFTA Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
