Gen. C. David Turner (U.S. Army, Ret.) will participate in the Association of Defense Communities 2018 National Summit this week in Washington, D.C.
Turner will moderate the “Future Water – Building the Water Resilience of the Future” panel consisting of insight and viewpoints from the water industry and across government agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Air Force, and the Department of Defense.
The panel will focus on the challenges military installations face in ensuring continued reliable sources of drinking water while managing aging infrastructure. The panel will discuss the military’s utilities privatization efforts and regional solutions requiring close collaboration with adjacent communities. Turner will allow panelists to highlight various approaches and technologies embraced by installations across the country as they undertake water infrastructure projects.
