MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Array Networks Inc., the network functions platform company, today announced the company’s next-generation application delivery controllers have received a special award in the security category at Interop Japan 2018, held June 13 through 15 in Chiba. The distinguished panel of judges cited the APV x800 Series’ outstanding SSL throughput and price/performance ratio, as well as the availability of high-performance elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) processing across all models to serve the needs of mid-sized businesses to large enterprises and service providers.
Introduced in April 2018, Array’s new dedicated ADC appliances feature improved performance across multiple categories, such as a 40 to 50 percent increase in Layer 4 connections per second depending on model, and similar improvements for Layer 7 requests per second. The APV x800 Series gives IT managers high-end SSL performance with a rich range of features at about half the cost of alternatives, and optional 40 Gbps interfaces.
In addition, Array’s new software version for ADCs includes major security enhancements to SSL intercept, which decrypts SSL-encrypted traffic to allow full inspection by security devices such as next-gen firewalls, and to Array’s DDoS protection capability which prevents attacks at the network, session and application layers and uses machine learning to detect anomalous traffic and automatically configure threshold values.
