MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StackRox, the leader in security for containerized cloud-native applications, today announced that StackRox executives have been selected to present at three prestigious container and security industry conferences: DockerCon 2018, Cornerstones of Trust and Google Cloud Next.
StackRox Co-founder and CEO Ali Golshan will share his insights on how containers present the opportunity to secure applications in a fundamentally different and better way. As a pioneering executive in container security, Golshan is an authority on leading-edge technology trends and has a passion for building disruptive products. At StackRox, which recently announced a major funding round led by Redpoint Ventures, Golshan oversees the company’s technology strategy and roadmap. Prior to StackRox, Golshan founded AI-powered security startup Cyphort and led the company's product strategy, research and technical initiatives, including the Threat Research Lab. Golshan has also advised numerous Fortune 100 companies – including Google, Microsoft, PwC and Visa – and has worked with government intelligence agencies and defense contractors.
During his upcoming presentations at DockerCon 2018 and Cornerstones of Trust, Golshan will reveal why it’s critical for today’s CSOs and CISOs to have a strategy for container security. “Millions of people interact with containers every day – from Pokémon Go to their personal banking applications – but these container environments cannot be protected with traditional enterprise security solutions,” said Golshan. “The time is now for the 1000 of Global 2000 companies who are using containers to start thinking about securing them.”
StackRox Vice President of Products Wei Lien Dang will share the experiences of StackRox financial services customers at his talk to Google Next. Dang, with his experience leading product development at leading container company CoreOS, brings unique insights into how containers change the application development process and create new opportunities for DevOps and Security teams to collaborate.
The three-day technology conference organized by Docker, Inc., will feature topics and content covering all aspects of Docker and its ecosystem; it’s targeted at developers, IT professionals, architects and executives.
At DockerCon, Golshan will speak on a 40-minute panel that will discuss best practices being developed within, and for, security-conscious enterprises. He will highlight where additional collaboration needs to take place between the container ecosystem and enterprise customers, and how existing guidance may evolve. Finally, the panel will address how to make the best and safest practices the default practices.
