Zadara is Leading the Transition to Enterprise-Class Storage-as-a-Service: On Premises, in the Cloud, Anywhere

Zadara’s annual summit brings together leading analysts, partners, and customers to address the massive shift enterprises are making to data storage spending as OpEx

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Zadara® Summit 2018, themed “Innovate Now” and held June 4-7 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, is a leading global event for customers, partners and prospective companies looking to implement Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) solutions that transform storage spending from CapEx to OpEx, increase operational agility, and eliminate the management burden for storage infrastructure.

A research report published by IT Brand Pulse finds that 25 percent of storage spending is now OpEx, and forecasts this will grow to 50 percent by 2020 and 80 percent by 2023. The Zadara Summit 2018 is packed with presentations about storage industry trends from leading analysts, customer implementation success stories, and valuable best practices for deploying and selling the Zadara Storage Cloud solution. This unique solution delivers enterprise-grade STaaS in the cloud and on premises using Zadara VPSA® block, file and object storage services. Hybrid deployments of the Zadara Storage Cloud include both public cloud VPSAs and private On-Premises-as-a-Service (OPaaS) VPSAs.

“The future of enterprise data storage will be defined by further innovations in intelligence, flexibility, and data portability,” said Nelson Nahum, CEO of Zadara. “Our summit gives us the opportunity to meet with customers and partners and share our vision for the future of enterprise data storage. It’s also our chance to offer previews of innovations that will further differentiate Zadara from anything else available in the marketplace today.”

Highlights of the Summit include: Frank Berry, founder, CEO and senior analyst at IT Brand Pulse, will provide a look into the future of IT; Intel will describe the technology used in Zadara’s new platform, based on Intel’s newest servers, Flash and Optane; Western Digital will review trends in storage media, including nonvolatile memory and helium-filled HDDs, as well as its partnership with Zadara; Amazon Web Services (AWS) will provide a perspective on how it is continuing to change the face of IT to improve enterprise storage services; Google will cover its Google Cloud Platform (GCP) strategy and offerings, and how Zadara fits into the picture; and McAfee will discuss data privacy in light of the EU GDPR legislation and the Facebook data leak scandal. Featured sessions and panels by Zadara representatives will include discussions of new capabilities of Zadara solutions, including support for containerized applications, built-in antivirus and ransomware protection, enhanced remote monitoring tools, and more.
