Corporate Attorneys Turned Entrepreneurs Open First of Several Planned Office Evolution Business Centers in Connecticut

One of the fastest growing franchises in the U.S.(1) targets east coast markets with plans for up to twenty seven locations

STAMFORD, Conn.--()--Office Evolution, a rapidly-growing B2B franchise offering co-working space, private office space, virtual offices and business services, has teamed up with east coast business attorneys and co-owners, Nicole Maddox and Rochelle Dede, to open a new business center in Stamford, the first of five planned by the partners for the region spanning from Stamford to Princeton, NJ.

The new 10,000 square foot center, located at 750 E. Main St., 6th Floor, offers small businesses and entrepreneurs professional, on-demand office space with 24/7 access. Members can choose from several packages that also include business mailing and telephone answering services and administrative support. Rental options include hourly, daily, month-to-month and longer-term leases.

The center offers 34 private furnished offices, including 18 spacious window offices that boast downtown views and some overlooking the Long Island Sound. In addition, the facility includes dedicated desks, spacious furnished cubicles with lockable doors, a community kitchen, a co-working business lounge and two conference rooms that can accommodate from eight to twelve people. The conference rooms are fully equipped with modern technology including Apple TV, making for seamless presentations.

The building is within minutes of shopping, hotels and restaurants and offers easy access to I-95 and downtown Stamford. Building amenities include a fitness center, game room, café, onsite free parking and complimentary shuttle service to and from the Stamford Metro North train station. Once fully developed, members will enjoy the use of twenty-seven centers in the east coast region, as well as the 125 centers being developed throughout the U.S.

Nicole and Rochelle’s paths crossed in early 2001 while legal associates at Chadbourne & Parke LLP. They both dreamed of one day being entrepreneurs and while building a decade of friendship often imagined that they would someday go into business together. Prior to becoming an Office Evolution franchise owner, Nicole Maddox spent more than nine years with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals as Director, Senior Litigation Counsel and prior to that was an associate with the law firm Chadbourne & Parke LLP. She earned her law degree from NYU School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Duke University. Rochelle Dede, currently IP Counsel for a global chemical manufacturer, has specialized in intellectual property and patent matters for several prestigious companies and law firms including Sandoz, a Novartis entity, Loeb & Loeb LLP and Bryan Cave LLP. She earned her law degree from the Saint Louis University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

“As lawyers with an entrepreneurial spirit, we were instantly drawn to the benefits of co-working and especially Office Evolution centers,” said Nicole Maddox, co-owner of Office Evolution Stamford. “Our centers provide a quick plug-and-work model with so many services perfect for lawyers – and anyone needing affordable, flexible office space without a long-term lease commitment. Our fully equipped centers allow small business owners to focus on growing their businesses – not on burdensome administrative tasks and technology challenges that take away from that mission. Besides all that – who wouldn’t want to work at a place that offers free Starbucks® coffee all day every day – along with the ability to exercise, eat and work – without leaving the building!”

The market demand for co-working space, private furnished office space, virtual offices and business services is expected to continue its rapid growth trajectory as corporate America continues to outsource many jobs that can be performed more cost-effectively by contractors. The number of consultants, contractors, and so-called “solopreneurs” will have soared 50 percent between 2011 and 2018, to an estimated 24 million, per an annual workforce report by MBO Partners. Moreover, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that the number of freelancers, temps, independent contractors and solopreneurs will grow from 30 percent of the workforce today to 40 percent of the total workforce over the next five years.
