LevaData Webinar Will Look at Lessons Learned When Global Brands Transition to an AI-Enabled Procurement Process

Procurement Leaders from Bose, Polycom and LevaData Will Join Supply Chain Insights to Share Experiences and Advice in June 5 Webinar

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--()--LevaData, the company that helps global enterprises improve gross margins by reducing supply chain costs, today announced a webinar with Jasmine Castro of Polycom, Carol Deninger of Bose, Richard Barnett of LevaData, and Lora Cecere of Supply Chain Insights. The webinar will look at the challenges Bose and Polycom faced when they made the radical shift to an AI-powered procurement process, the short-term “growing pains” the transition caused, and the immediate benefits they realized.

The webinar, “Lessons Learned: Transitioning to an AI-Enabled Procurement Process,” will be held on June 5 at 1 pm ET/10 am PT.

Making the Leap to a Digital Procurement Process

Enterprise procurement teams are slowly moving from a largely analog process to one that is entirely digital, with insights derived from AI and machine learning. It is a crucial shift, requiring new investments and ways of working that can introduce disruption and risk.

In this webinar, Jasmine Castro, Commodity Manager at Polycom, and Carol Deninger, Strategy Deployment and Operations at Bose, will discuss the long-term benefits sought in making the transition—such as improved data accuracy, transparency for the sourcing organization, and greater opportunity to provide strategic input on key company initiatives. They will also address the short-term “growing pains” they faced, steps companies can take to mitigate them, and the immediate benefits realized by transitioning to a digital procurement process.

Lora Cecere, supply chain technology strategist and founder of Supply Chain Insights, and Richard Barnett, SVP of marketing and customer success at LevaData, will lead the discussion of the overall maturity of procurement and strategic sourcing teams in regards to AI and cognitive technology and the best practices when making the transition to AI-enabled strategic sourcing.

“Although virtually all senior executives believe that data-driven procurement is crucial to efficiency, cost reduction and value creation, huge gaps in adopting this technology exist, and, overall, enterprise companies are slow to adopt the platforms required to compete,” said Barnett. “Innovators like Bose and Polycom show the immediate benefits to companies willing to modernize their approach and help others navigate the process by sharing their lessons learned.”

“The Supply Chain Insights community of thought leaders is always on the lookout for the biggest innovations in their field, so we’re excited to dive into the real-world experiences of two companies that successfully leveraged AI or cognitive technologies to reimagine their sourcing process,” added Cecere.
