QPharma Expands KOL Presence in Europe

Titanium® Technology to Perform Influence Mapping in 15 European Countries

MORRISTOWN, N.J.--()--QPharma, a premier provider of commercial and compliance services to the life sciences industry, has been engaged by a major European pharmaceutical client to perform Key Opinion Leader (KOL) influence mapping.

The program will span 15 countries and multiple therapeutic areas, representing a significant expansion of QPharma’s presence in the KOL engagement industry in Europe. This builds on the considerable momentum QPharma has built in the United States KOL market, with numerous top life sciences companies added to its client roster, and reaffirms the company’s position as an industry leader.

Pharmaceutical companies routinely identify and engage with Key Opinion Leaders, also known as thought leaders, to support communication activities around their brands. KOLs are typically physicians and other healthcare practitioners that are highly influential within their fields. A pioneering force in thought leader engagement and influence mapping, QPharma will deploy its Ti KOL® solution, part of the Titanium® platform of commercial and compliance tools.

In the execution of this program, QPharma will identify and profile a Key Opinion Leader universe for the client, and the company’s more than 300 medical research team members will analyze and score KOLs using QPharma’s proprietary algorithms. A network analysis will determine how KOLs are connected and how they influence one another. This will result in a highly targeted promotional plan that will enable the client to more effectively message healthcare practitioners and promote its products.

“Our approach to KOL/HCP influence mapping to simultaneously improve medical communications as well as enhance the effectiveness of the field force has been recognized by the industry as revolutionary,” said Badal Shah, Managing Director of KOL and Targeting for QPharma. “Combined with the analytics and business intelligence power of the Titanium suite, it represents the most advanced thought leader engagement solution available on the market.”

“QPharma has a longtime presence in Europe, having provided commercial services, training, and compliance consulting to local and global clients in numerous countries,” added QPharma President and CEO Patrick P. Den Boer. “We look forward to continuing to shape strategies for life sciences commercial effectiveness throughout the region.”

The expansion coincides with QPharma’s plans to open an office in Zurich, Switzerland to further solidify its presence in the European Union. For more information, visit www.qpharmacorp.com.
