CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Otus, a Chicago-based education technology platform provider for teachers, administrators, students and parents, today announced that the company has been named a finalist in the 2018 SIIA CODiE Awards, in the category of “Best Student Assessment Solution.”
The SIIA CODiE Awards were established in 1986 by SIIA, the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry, with the mission of recognizing excellence in the software and information industry's leading products and services. Today, the awards focus on companies innovating in business technology and education technology.
“We’re honored to be named a finalist by SIIA. This recognition is a testament to the diligent work our team puts in, both in building the software and supporting educators, and the degree to which Otus helps teachers do what they do best: inspire and inform students,” said Keith Westman, COO of Otus. “It also encourages us to keep our momentum going as we continue to grow our company and enhance the technology.”
The winners will be announced on June 13th at the SIIA CODiE Awards ceremony in San Francisco. This honor comes on the heels of the hiring of Eric Patnoudes, the new director of strategic initiatives at Otus. Amongst a variety of enhancements that Otus is rolling out in 2018 is a standards-based grading report card, which will be released this summer.
