BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Representative Jeffrey Sánchez will serve as the keynote speaker at the 43rd Roxbury Community College (RCC) Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Representative Sánchez will join RCC President Valerie Roberson, members of the RCC Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, and families to celebrate the academic success of RCC students.

I’m sure his path to success will encourage and empower our students as they move forward in their academic and professional careers.”
Jeffrey Sánchez grew up in public housing in Mission Hill, where his mother was a community activist who successfully organized with neighbors to demand better housing conditions from the Boston Housing Authority. He currently represents the communities of Mission Hill, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, and Brookline as State Representative, where he has focused on ensuring access to universal healthcare, violence prevention, and affordable housing throughout his tenure.
