BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, The Physicians Foundation – a nonprofit organization that seeks to empower physicians to lead in the delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient healthcare – announced Gary Price, M.D., will serve as its new president. Dr. Price succeeds Walker Ray, M.D., who led the Foundation as president for the last three years.
Dr. Price is a Yale-trained plastic surgeon and serves as an attending surgeon at the Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he is also a clinical assistant professor of surgery. Over the past decade, he has chaired multiple Physicians Foundation committees, including the Physician and Patient Perception Task Force and the Strategic Planning Committee.

Dr. Price is affiliated with numerous local and national medical associations and societies and is a past president of the Connecticut State Medical Society and the Connecticut and New England Societies of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and the Yale School of Management.
