NARRAGANSETT, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Narragansett Town Clerk’s Office launched the SailPoint Over-the-Counter payment service, in conjunction with RI.gov, that allows for citizens to make payments using credit cards in the Town Clerk’s Office.
SailPoint is an application that offers agencies in the State of Rhode Island the convenience of processing securely encrypted credit card account information from customers who pay in person, “at the counter.” The system accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Debit Cards.
“Our citizens are looking forward to having a credit and debit card option to transact with our office,” said Anne Irons, Narragansett Town Clerk. “We are excited to take full advantage of the efficiencies and conveniences offered by SailPoint.”
With the launch, Narragansett becomes the 18th State entity and the 5th city/town using SailPoint to process credit card transactions in Rhode Island. The service was deployed at no cost to taxpayers in partnership with the state’s digital government services provider, Rhode Island Interactive. The service is part of the popular suite of online services currently available through RI.gov (https://www.ri.gov/).
