SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WunderVu, Pixvana’s VR production studio specializing in high-resolution, immersive experiences, today announced the appointment of Rachel Lanham as the General Manager. Lanham will be focused on building relationships with innovative companies that are looking to unlock the power of XR.
“We’re extremely fortunate to be adding such a talented brand storyteller and business leader to the WunderVu team,” said Forest Key, Founder and CEO of Pixvana. “Throughout her career, Rachel has helped shape a variety of brands, large and small, positioning them for new growth and engagement. Leveraging her background in marketing and digital innovation, we believe she can be a catalyst that leads VR content creation and distribution into the mainstream.”
Early in her career, Lanham served as an executive and client partner at Avenue A, which became aQuantive before being sold for $6.3 billion to Microsoft. Joining in 1999, Lanham was one of the key contributors to driving growth, helping pioneer digital advertising concepts and practices for many well-recognized brands such as Weight Watchers, MillerCoors, and Levi's.
Later on, in 2012, Lanham co-founded Health123, an award-winning health intelligence company designed to support clinical workflows and engage patients in their plans of care. As Chief Operating Officer, she oversaw all sales and marketing, and worked directly with commercial clients, including Group Health, Arivale, and Vera Whole Health. The company was sold to Samepage Health in 2017.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Lanham currently serves as the Vice Chair of America SCORES Seattle, a youth development program for underserved, at-risk kids.
“Nearly 20 years ago, I joined a team hoping to ‘invent the digital future’ and revolutionize advertising,” said Lanham. “Today, I feel the same sense of opportunity, but on a much broader scale. Together, with this great team of creative and technology experts, I believe WunderVu and Pixvana can enable agencies, brands, and enterprises to unlock the potential of immersive VR content and usher in a new wave of audience engagement. I’m not just talking about everyday media and entertainment, but everything from employee training, to business pitches, product presentations, and beyond. We’re reinventing how brand stories are told.”
“Immersive VR experiences have the power to transport viewers into a place that looks and feels just like the real thing, resulting in greater empathy, higher recollection, and a deeper human connection,” Key said. “With Rachel at the helm, WunderVu has its Shakespeare to orchestrate these very meaningful connections between storytellers and audiences around the world.”
