OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A.M. Best has assigned a Long-Term Issue Credit Rating of “a” to Securian Financial Group, Inc.’s (SFG) (Delaware) recently issued $500 million, 4.8% senior unsecured notes, due 2048. The outlook assigned to this Credit Rating (rating) is stable.
Following the debt issuance, A.M. Best expects that financial leverage and interest coverage metrics for SFG will remain within guidelines for the assigned ratings. SFG intends to use the proceeds of the issuance for general corporate purposes.
SFG’s Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a” and the ratings of its operating insurance subsidiaries are unchanged.
