Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico Reports Passenger Traffic Increase of 16.8% for the Month of March

GUADALAJARA, Mexico--()--Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico, S.A.B. de C.V., (NYSE:PAC) (BMV:GAP) (“the Company” or “GAP”) announced preliminary terminal passenger traffic figures for the month of March 2018, compared to traffic figures for March 2017.

During March 2018, total terminal passengers increased 16.8% at the Company’s 13 airports, compared to the same period of the previous year. Domestic passenger traffic increased by 21.9%, while international passenger traffic increased by 11.5%.

Highlights for the Period:

  • Seats and Load Factors: In March 2018, GAP registered a 14.7% increase in the number of seats available compared to March 2017. Load factors for the month increased by 1.7 percentage points, from 80.3% in March 2017 to 82.0% in March 2018.
  • New Routes:
    • Guadalajara to San Francisco: Interjet
    • Guadalajara to Acapulco: Aeromar
    • Guadalajara to Zihuatanejo: Aeromar
    • Puerto Vallarta to San Diego: Southwest
    • Los Cabos to Sacramento: Southwest
    • Los Cabos to San Jose, California: Southwest
    • Tijuana to Beijing: Hainan Airlines
  • Easter Holiday: The Easter holiday took place in the last week of March 2018; whereas in 2017, Easter fell in April. This created an increasing effect on the percentage variation for the traffic in March, which will stabilize at the end of April.
