NORTHBROOK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--M. Holland Company, a leading distributor of thermoplastic resins, announced today that Teknor Apex Company, a leading custom compounder, named M. Holland as its primary national distributor of two product lines of semi-aromatic nylon resins, Creamid™ and Duramid™. The launch of these products expands on the companies’ existing relationship and follows last year’s announcement in which Teknor Apex named M. Holland its primary distributor for engineered thermoplastics products in North America.
Creamid and Duramid are semi-aromatic, highly-filled polyamides, characterized by enhanced surface aesthetics, low warpage, excellent flow, and dimensional stability. They are often referred to as metal-replacement polyamides and offer an E-modulus of up to 22,000 and 25,000 MPa, respectively. Duramid offers additional high-performance features because of its superior flow, low warpage, and increased notched impact strength. Both products can be used for power tools, agriculture, furniture, electronics, military, and transportation applications.
“Given the resounding success of our partnership and shared values as long-standing, family-run businesses, expanding our relationship with M. Holland is a natural next step,” said Michael Roberts, Vice President for the Global ETP Division of Teknor Apex. “We are excited to bring these products to the market together here in North America so customers can see first-hand the benefits they can bring not only to the finished part but at the press and in tool design.”
Samantha Stone, M. Holland’s Director of Distribution Sales, added, “We believe strongly in delivering the highest-value solutions to our customers. As one of the most trusted custom compounders in the plastics industry, Teknor Apex enables us to successfully maintain that standard. We are thrilled to be developing our partnership together and look forward to continued success.”
