Recasting the Traditional Upfront Event Model, Univision Communications Turns to Two-Day Experiential Showcase – May 14-15, 2018 – in NYC’s TriBeCa Neighborhood

Unveils ‘Culture Unbound’ as Thematic Platform for New Dynamic, Disruptive Upfront Initiative

NEW YORK--()--Disrupting the age-old Upfront presentation, Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) has scrapped the traditional industry trappings and replaced it with an expanded, two-day experiential event beginning on Monday, May 14 through Tuesday, May 15. UCI is also shaking things up by moving its annual showcase for advertisers from the Theater District to TriBeCa’s stylish and state-of-the-art Spring Studios to better reflect its youthful, trendsetting audience.

Operating under the theme of “Culture Unbound,” the 2018 Upfront experience aims to further underscore the UCI portfolio’s unmatched ability to connect brands to culture – which is especially critical for business to thrive given that Hispanic consumer spending is projected to grow 85% over the next 10 years. “Culture Unbound” represents the opportunity for advertisers, through UCI’s portfolio, to truly immerse their brands and elevate their efforts beyond simply fitting in — to bringing a sense of belonging in the culture, while driving growth. UCI’s 2018 Upfront two-day event will comprise of four presentations featuring performances and in-person interactive experiences spanning entertainment, news and sports that will come to life in 3-D and 360° views. Attendees can choose to join the experience on Monday, May 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. or Tuesday, May 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
