EXTON, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Insight Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School (ISPA) is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2018-2019 school year. An online public charter school available to students statewide, ISPA is adding 11th grade this school year. ISPA will expand again to offer grades K-12 for the 2019-2020 school year.
Entering its second year of operation, ISPA students access a robust online curriculum. They attend live virtual classes taught by Pennsylvania-licensed teachers who communicate regularly via email, phone and in one-to-one online meetings. Students are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, history, art and music. Electives include world languages, as well as high school honors courses.
Beginning in high school, ISPA students have the opportunity to take Career Technical Education (CTE) courses through the school’s Destinations program. CTE introduces students to specialty trade skills through online courses in business, health science and information technology, allowing them to explore their interests and get a head start on future career opportunities.
“ISPA gives Pennsylvania families an exciting option for their student’s education,” says Executive Director Shannon McElwain. “Our diverse course offerings provide students with the opportunity to pursue their academic goals at an appropriate pace for their learning style.”
Students choose online school for a variety of reasons including advanced learning, a bullying-free environment, and the ability to support extracurricular pursuits or medical needs. Outside of the virtual classroom, ISPA offers student clubs and in-person field trips and social gatherings to foster a sense of school community.
Enrollment is now open for the 2018-2019 school year. Students and families are encouraged to attend an online or in-person information session hosted by the school. More information on ISPA, how to enroll, and a schedule of upcoming events can be found at pa.insightschools.net.
