Ohio Virtual Academy Now Accepting Enrollments for the 2018-2019 School Year

Online Public School Provides College and Career Prep for Students Statewide

MAUMEE, Ohio--()--Ohio Virtual Academy (OHVA), an accredited, full-time online public school available to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2018-2019 school year. OHVA is open tuition-free to all students who reside in the state.

Celebrating fifteen years as a trusted online education program, OHVA students access a robust online curriculum and attend live virtual classes taught by Ohio-licensed teachers. Students are offered a full course load in the core subjects of math, science, language arts, history, art and music. Electives include world languages, as well as high school honors and Advanced Placement® courses.

High school students can also explore Career Technical Education (CTE) course work through OHVA’s Destinations program. Destinations introduces students to information technology and specialty trade skills through online CTE courses. If they wish, students can choose to take examinations for industry-recognized credentials.

Online learning gives students the flexibility to spend more time with subjects in which they need additional support, and advance more quickly in areas where they excel. Dedicated teachers communicate regularly with families via email, phone and in one-to-one online meetings. To foster a sense of school community, OHVA also offers student clubs and in-person field trips and social gatherings, including an annual in-person prom and graduation ceremony.
