Beginning at 2 p.m., children can enjoy a read-aloud story time of popular Dr. Seuss books, crafts, coloring and games galore.

The Books-A-Million located at 2605 West Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee, Florida will host the Cat in the Hat for a fun-filled extravaganza! Photo opportunities will be available for children to pose with the beloved Dr. Seuss character.

Whoville fanatics in Katy, Texas can experience Dr. Seuss’s Super-Dee-Dooper Bus Tour! The Books-A-Million located at 5000 Katy Mills Circle will feature kid-friendly activities, a walk through the interactive Dr. Seuss exhibit and a Cat in the Hat meet-and-greet – all from 2-6 p.m.!

Books-A-Million has chosen the top three picks of the Dr. Seuss collection to commemorate the author’s imagination and creativity.

  • “Green Eggs & Ham”
Sam-I-Am tries to convince another Seuss character to eat a plate of green eggs and ham. In the end, the unnamed character tries the dish, and ends up loving the food!
  • “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”
All journeys face perils, whether from indecision, from loneliness, or worst of all, from too much waiting. Seuss’ message is simple but never sappy: life may be a ‘Great Balancing Act,’ but through it all ‘There’s fun to be done.’
  • “The Cat in the Hat”
What to do on a rainy day? Two children sit and stare out the window, when suddenly a giant cat wearing a tall striped hat pops into their lives. With tons of wild rhyming that is classic Seussical goodness, the kids watch helplessly as havoc is wrecked upon their home by all sorts of things the cat produces, including Thing One and Thing Two.
