WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--()--eClinicalWorks®, a leader in healthcare IT solutions, announces it will launch a cloud-based platform for Acute Care EHR and Revenue Cycle Management during HIMSS18, starting at $599 per bed per month, with no capital cost for licensing. eClinicalWorks will enable a seamless flow of information between ambulatory and acute care settings. Hamilton Healthcare System, a 42-bed community hospital, is expanding its relationship with eClinicalWorks by becoming the first hospital to go live with the Acute Care EHR and Revenue Cycle Management solution in 2018.

The eClinicalWorks Acute Care EHR includes:

Emergency Department     CPOE     Health Information Management     Revenue Cycle Management     Housekeeping
Inpatient Departments     Pharmacy     Registration/ADT     Allied Health     Infection Control
Operating Room     Laboratory Information System     Scheduling     Bed Management     Referrals Management
Labor & Delivery     Radiology Information System     Analytics     Transportation     Inventory

“eClinicalWorks is changing the landscape of the acute care EHR industry. Historically, health systems face large financial barriers in transitioning from their legacy EHRs,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “We are addressing this by providing a modern, cloud-based platform with no upfront license fees. Hospitals will have no financial barriers to transition to eClinicalWorks.”

“It has always been our goal to have one unified EHR. We evaluated numerous health information system vendors in 2010,” said Chad Reinert, CIO of Hamilton Healthcare System. “As a small community hospital, we concluded that a progressive unified EHR for inpatient, ER and ambulatory settings simply was not available for a cost that we could afford. We were excited to hear the announcement about eClinicalWorks’ Acute Care initiative and we have been very pleased with the product’s continued development over the past two years and the potential it has for our organization.”

Developed by eClinicalWorks with the aid of strategic partners, the Acute Care EHR and Revenue Cycle Management will lower the total cost of ownership for Hamilton Healthcare System when compared to industry averages. The system will also create one unified medical record for Hamilton’s inpatient and outpatient communities, with a dashboard showing all clinical details for the emergency department, inpatient department, and operating room.

“From a clinical standpoint, a unified EHR allows us to offer safer and more efficient care to our patients,” said Millie Shinn, RN, Director of Clinical Informatics. “What has been most impressive is eClinicalWorks’ development approach during this process. They have designed the Acute Care EHR based upon the guidance of actual clinicians. We are incredibly excited about expanding our partnership with eClinicalWorks.”

“Starting at $599 per bed, per month, the cloud-centric Acute Care platform will provide Hamilton Healthcare System with an EHR that will reduce overall costs and reduce the efforts in implementation,” Navani said. “There is a high level of interest from new and existing eClinicalWorks ambulatory customers to select the eClinicalWorks Acute Care platform to create a unified platform. We are excited and look forward to showcasing the system at HIMSS18.”
