Fortune International Group Pays off $284 Million HSBC Construction Loan Well Ahead of Jade Signature Opening

The highly-anticipated luxury tower created by Herzog & de Meuron, achieves financing milestone two weeks after closings

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla.--()--Miami, Fla.-based real estate development company Fortune International Group today announced that it has paid off a $284 million construction loan on Jade Signature. The 57-story, luxury oceanfront condominium, created by Herzog & de Meuron, is located at 16901 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach.

The repayment comes two weeks on the heels of the project receiving its temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO), signaling the start of closings for the tower, which is set to officially host its grand opening in March. Fortune International Group received the $284 million construction loan from HSBC in September 2014. Jade Signature is the third Fortune project financed by HSBC. The lender also previously gave loans for sister-projects Jade Residences at Brickell Bay and Jade Beach.

Jade Signature’s success is attributed to the sale of more than 95 percent of the 192 residences to an array of buyers across Latin America, the U.S. and Europe. The exclusive residences were developed under the leadership of husband-and-wife team Edgardo and Ana Cristina Defortuna of Fortune International Group, and created by the Pritzker-Prize winning architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron--in collaboration with Parisian interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR) and landscape architect Raymond Jungles.
