Hanover North Broad Introduces Designer Barbershop to Residents

ETHOS GSFM Opens New Location in metro Philadelphia Location

PHILADELPHIA--()--Houston-based real estate developer Hanover Company, which recently welcomed a gourmet market and a French café to its luxury residential apartment community at North Broad and Callowhill, has now added a third retailer. Hanover North Broad just announced an exclusive “gentlemen's grooming station” that will begin construction soon within its 15,000 square foot retail space.

Hanover North Broad residents will soon enjoy the added convenience of an all-day French café with outdoor seating, as well as a boutique grocer that offers organic products and gourmet made-to-order deli counter sandwiches and salads. The latest luxury retailer to enhance Hanover North Broad will be ETHOS GSFM (which stands for Grooming Station For Men), founded by Jonathan M. Jacobs, who has a background in design and architecture and describes his men’s salon as a “men's grooming company designed to bring a distinguished grooming experience to the metropolitan gentleman.”

Hanover North Broad is currently leasing studio, one, two, and three- bedroom luxury apartment homes, which feature Hanover’s signature modern design and upscale amenities. Hanover North Broad is confident its designer features and exclusive amenities, along with the residence’s perfect proximity to the SEPTA, downtown parks, and cultural landmarks in the area, for attracting many new tenants, both residential and commercial. Hanover Company’s Dan Gordon adds, “We could not be more excited to have ETHOS GSFM add a male grooming operation to the retail offerings at Hanover North Broad. The owners, Jonathan Jacobs and Anton Borvchenko have a passion for their craft and have assembled a team of like-minded individuals who are invested in bringing a high-end barbershop to the neighborhood. Combined with the French café concept brought to North Broad by the team behind La Peg and Bistrot La Minette and the gourmet grocer run by Philly favorite Palm Tree, ETHOS will add to the quickly developing, vibrant retail mix on North Broad.”

In addition to the extra benefit of luxury retailers just steps from residents' front doors, some additional residential perks of Hanover North Broad include:

  • Hanover Company’s commitments to Making Life Easy;
  • A short walk to Fairmount Park, the Museum District, and the new Barnes Museum;
  • Designer kitchens featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops;
  • Luxury finishes such as frameless cabinetry, wood-style flooring, expansive windows, and 9’6” soaring ceilings (one corner unit contains 16’ ceilings); and
  • Resort-caliber courtyards and outdoor space.
