Mukherjee serves in the department of medicine, division of hematology/oncology, at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC), and is a graduate of Stanford University, University of Oxford and Harvard Medical School. He is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller, “The Gene: An Intimate History, and the winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for his book, The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer.” As a cancer physician at CUMC, his primary areas of expertise include myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloma and lymphoma.
