HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Contango ORE, Inc. (“CORE” or the “Company”) (OTCQB: CTGO) announced today that it has filed its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended December 31, 2017 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Company reported a net loss of $0.8 million, or ($0.14) per basic and diluted share, for the three months ended December 31, 2017 compared to a net loss of $0.6 million or $(0.13) per basic and diluted share for the same period last year. For the six months ended December 31, 2017, the Company reported a net loss of $1.5 million, or ($0.28) per basic and diluted share, compared to a net loss of $1.5 million, or ($0.36) per basic and diluted share, for the same period last year.
Royal Alaska, LLC (“Royal Alaska”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Gold, Inc. (‘RGLD”) our partner in Peak Gold, LLC (“the Joint Venture”) has contributed approximately $29.3 million in total through December 31, 2017 toward exploration, development and project management of the Joint Venture properties near Tok, Alaska. As of December 31, 2017, Royal Alaska has earned a percentage interest of 39.0% in the Joint Venture.

In addition, the Joint Venture is obtaining a Preliminary Economic Assessment of the Peak and North Peak deposits which should be available later this year. We expect a budget for 2018 to be approved in February at which point we will provide more detail around this year’s approved drilling and exploration activities.”
