Vizient Announces Product Categories for Quarter 1 National Group Buys Program

Siemens Healthineers is the Featured Supplier for Vizient Quarter 1 Group Buys Program

IRVING, Texas--()--Capital purchases represent approximately 25 percent of a hospital’s budget. This makes capital planning and group purchasing one of the most complex procurement challenges for health care organizations. Vizient, Inc., today announced the product categories and supplier savings opportunities available as part of its Quarter 1 National Group Buys Program available January 1 through March 31, 2018. The National Group Buys program is one of several strategic programs from Vizient designed to deliver additional cost savings to its member hospitals.

Siemens Healthineers, the featured supplier for Quarter 1 is providing significant savings across several diagnostic imaging equipment offerings including cardiovascular imaging systems, CT scanner systems, general radiography equipment, hemodynamic and electrophysiology monitors, mammography equipment, MRI systems, nuclear medicine equipment, PET/CT systems, ultrasound systems, C-Arms and urology imaging systems.

“Vizient is delighted to offer its members another opportunity to lower costs beyond our nationally negotiated contracts for capital equipment and other products and services through its national group buys program,” said Brent Gee, associate vice president of Strategic Programs for Vizient. “Our featured supplier this quarter, Siemens Healthineers, is offering enhanced savings off contract across 11 capital and imaging categories plus a special service value option our members won’t want to miss.”
