TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Advanzeon Solutions, Inc.’s (OTCBB:CHCR) ("Advanzeon") wholly-owned subsidiary, Pharmacy Value Management Solutions, Inc. ("PVMS") (collectively, the "Company") announced today that it has received approval from most of the major insurance carriers to begin direct billing for patients utilizing its SleepMaster Solutions™ sleep apnea testing and treatment services. Specifically, PVMS is now a contracted, preferred provider with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Principal and United Healthcare, representing over 80% of commercial insurance coverage, nationwide, for working-age adults. Applications with a significant number of additional carriers, both national and local, are pending and expected to be approved shortly.
The Company’s CEO, Clark A. Marcus, stated, "Being able to accept most major, national and local insurance plans was a project we started months ago. We expect our ability to now take insurance will significantly increase our patient population and market share. As the nation’s premier, medically-driven, sleep apnea program in both the commercial trucking industry and for a substantially broader national population, we appreciate how important it is to both accept insurance from a large segment of the American population and to have an affordable pricing structure and payment plan available for those patients who do not have insurance coverage. Sleep apnea is a major factor in the rising cost of healthcare in the U.S. It is at an epidemic level. By attacking sleep apnea and the co-morbidity associated with it, we are convinced that we will not only be creating a healthier and safer population, but significantly assisting in reducing the overall cost of healthcare by as much as 20%. Our flexible payment plans and our ability to take insurance is a major step in that direction. We can now provide our patient population with not only the best medical care in the country for sleep apnea, but we can do so with minimal patient down time.”
Mr. Marcus went on to say, “It is important to realize that our medical team was, from inception, specifically designed not only to address sleep apnea, but also the various conditions causing or resulting from sleep apnea, such as cardiac disease, diabetes and obesity. We are extremely proud of our medical team and their accomplishments in that regard.”
