Preston Hollow Capital Announces Addition of Legal, Credit and Tax Talent

DALLAS--()--Dallas-based Preston Hollow Capital, the leading solution provider in municipal finance, announced today the hiring of three senior professionals in its Legal, Credit and Tax groups. The addition of Glenwood Hill (Legal), Joe James (Credit) and Elizabeth Leak (Tax) will augment current staff and add new capabilities within the rapidly growing firm.

Attorney Glenwood Hill joins PHC’s legal team as Assistant General Counsel, possessing over nine years of experience in public finance. His role focuses on oversight of legal and compliance matters as well as providing legal support for the negotiating and closing of structured finance and municipal investment transactions. Mr. Hill’s prior legal experience includes roles with the public finance practices of Bracewell LLP and Vinson & Elkins LLP. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Hill served in the United States Army for over seven years, achieving the rank of Company Commander. He earned a J.D., Law from The University of Texas at Austin, an M.B.A. from Webster University and a B.S., Biology from Florida A&M University.

Joe James, Senior Underwriter, brings 24 years of diverse commercial real estate experience to PHC’s credit group. His professional experience includes risk management, asset management, systems integrations and process improvements. Mr. James joins PHC from Frontier Equity, where he was a Partner, Asset Management. Prior to that, he spent nearly 22 years with GE Capital Real Estate in a variety of leadership roles. He earned a Master of Business Administration, Finance degree and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance degree from Texas Tech University.

Elizabeth Leak joins PHC as Tax Director, with responsibility for the management and direction of PHC’s tax policies and objectives. Ms. Leak’s experience includes over ten years in tax compliance and planning, with expertise in partnership taxation and accounting issues specific to investment managers, hedge funds, and private equity firms. She was previously a Senior Manager with Weaver and also held senior tax roles with Highland Capital Management and RSM McGladrey. Ms. Leak is a licensed CPA and attended The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas at Dallas, completing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting.
