SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Puerto Rico Investment Summit, the premier investment conference on the Island, announced today that the conference has been rescheduled for February 12 and 13, 2018 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center.
“Puerto Rico is working hard to recover from two devastating hurricanes last September. An extraordinary team effort is in place by the people of Puerto Rico, local government, federal agencies, diaspora, local 20/22 communities and the private sector,” said Brenda González-Santini, President of the 2018 PRIS.
PRIS focuses on PR’s tax incentives laws – Act 20/22, 273, and 399 among others. This Summit will include new topics, as opportunities arise in the Island’s reconstruction: Public Private Partnerships (P3), energy, renewal and rebuilding efforts, among others. González-Santini explained, “We are looking ahead to the economic boost that could be delivered by investment in rebuilding efforts”.
Among the group of presenters and panelists already confirmed for the new date is Nicholas Prouty, CEO of Putnam Bridge Funding, Jeff Carmichael, CEO of Yigke Caribbean Center, Gabriel Hernández, partner at BDO, Walter Keenan CEO of Advantage Insurance Holdings, Mark Leeds partner at Mayer Brown, Noel Zamot, aerospace and defense executive, appointed as Revitalization Coordinator for the Federal Oversight & Management Board for Puerto Rico and Iván Rodríguez, MLB Hall of Famer.
