SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ProxToMe, a company that provides proximity-based authentication for the Internet of Things, today announced the technology partnership with ForgeRock, the leading platform provider of digital identity management solutions.
ProxToMe becomes part of the ForgeRock Trust Network, the program that ForgeRock has created to respond in collaboration with partners to the increasing market demand for next-generation identity management technology and solutions.
“ProxToMe extends our ecosystem and adds exciting capability to our Identity Platform with their unique technology to connect people with things and authentication,” says Ben Goodman, Vice President, Global Strategy and Innovation at ForgeRock. “Our customers will benefit from enabling high assurance proximity based security interactions between mobile users and IoT devices.”
ProxToMe’s goal is to secure in-person user-to-machine interactions from man-in-the-middle attacks. An issue that is arising as smartphones replace keys, badges, payment cards, and become the authenticator to most of the surrounding touch points.
“We’re very excited to partner with ForgeRock to create seamless authentication experiences for its customers across different IoT verticals,” says Carlo Capello, CEO at ProxToMe. “Our technology is at the forefront of providing new proximity-based identity assurance solutions, and ForgeRock is strategic for us to best address industry stakeholders from FinTech, Automotive, Enterprise, and other IoT verticals.”
ForgeRock announced Trust Network, and ProxToMe as launch partner, today during the Gartner Identity & Access Management Summit 2017, Las Vegas.
