LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IHS Markit Ltd. (Nasdaq: INFO), a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions, today announced the pricing of its offering of $500 million in aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2026 (the “notes”) in a private placement transaction pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The $500 million aggregate principal amount of notes to be issued in this offering represents an increase of $100 million to the aggregate principal amount contained in the company’s news release issued this morning. The offering is expected to close on December 1, 2017, subject to customary closing conditions.
The notes will bear interest at a rate of 4.00 percent per annum and will pay interest semi-annually in cash in arrears on March 1 and September 1 of each year, beginning on March 1, 2018. The notes will mature on March 1, 2026.
IHS Markit intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to repay amounts outstanding under its revolving credit facility.
