LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kim Kardashian West’s visit to the Alexandria House transitional residence will be featured on the November 19, 2017, episode of E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Transforming the shelter for a day, Kim brought in financial and job advisors to provide career coaching and resume building opportunities for the residents. Additionally, PRIV brought its beauty and wellness spa experience to life with a team of hairstylists, massage therapists, make-up artists and nail technicians providing services on site in an effort for the women to feel and look their best inside and out.
Alexandria House resident Keanakay said, “The whole day was amazing – really magical. Kim was down-to-earth and seemed to truly care about how so many women are in crisis. She understood that homelessness can happen to anybody at any time.”
Founding Director Judy Vaughan added, “Because Los Angeles is the homeless capital of the United States, we are truly grateful that Kim Kardashian is giving a national platform to homelessness, the affordable housing crisis, and the challenges in healing from trauma and becoming financially stable.”
According to a report issued by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, 57,794 people in Los Angeles are living without shelter on any given night. Of those, 8,529 are children under 18.
