BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--China’s top restauranteurs, chefs and sommeliers will gather in Beverly Hills on December 17, 2017 to celebrate American travelers' favorite restaurants in China at the 2018 Global Cuisine Awards presented by the American Food Association. 195 restaurants have been selected as finalists from a list of over 300 of China’s best restaurants that include cuisine from French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Thai, Indian, Lebanese and Greek countries.
China’s prestigious dining culture will be honored in the following categories including, “The Ten Major Cuisine Awards”—which contains “Best Zhejiang Cuisine,” “Best Jiangsu Cuisine,” “Best Shandong Cuisine,” “Best Cantonese Cuisine”—“Chinese Best Regional Taste Awards,” “Global Taste Restaurant Awards” and “Chinese Individual Restaurant Awards.” While reflecting the unique cultural exchange between China and flourishing foreign cuisine, awards will be given in the following areas: "China's Best French Restaurant," "China's Best Japanese Restaurant," "China's Best Italian Restaurant” and more. There will also be individual special awards such as "Best Creative Restaurant," "Best Restaurant Management," “Best Restaurant Service," “Best Restaurant Manager," "Best Restaurant Founder" and more.
Nominated finalists for China’s emerging and iconic restaurants include: HaiDiLao Hotpot, Beijing Da Dong, Ding Tai Fung, Quanjude, Shanghai Min, South Beauty, The Grandma’s, Xibei Restaurants and other well-known restaurants. Competition will be fierce for awards like "China's Best Sichuan Restaurant,” as nominees include Yinxing Restaurant, Daronghe Restaurant, Mapo Szechuan Restaurant, Emei Restaurant, Chengdu Yingxiang and other finalists.
