PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Project Management Institute (PMI), the world’s leading association for the project, program and portfolio management profession, launched a pilot for its first-ever podcast series, Projectified with PMI, this past Saturday. Through this podcast series, listeners will hear conversations about the project management profession that are both forward-looking and also top of mind for the profession today. The mission of the series is to inform, inspire and prepare project managers for future industry success.
The pilot for the podcast series was formally introduced during PMI’s annual Global Conference in Chicago this year. PMI developed the podcast concept as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance learning and development opportunities for project managers at every stage of their careers.
Projectified with PMI will be hosted by Stephen Maye, a familiar voice in the world of project management. Maye has more than 20 years of experience in helping executive teams clarify and express the essential purpose and goals of strategic initiatives. For the past 10 years, Maye has been a moderator at PMXPO and many other virtual events. He is a contributing author of “Project Pain Reliever: A Just-In-Time Handbook for Anyone Managing Projects” — a text book used by Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, one of the top 10 business schools in the United States. As a speaker, facilitator, and seasoned advisor, he has assisted Fortune 500 leaders through platform, classroom, and media channels — including videos from Gartner and ProjectManagement.com.
“We are excited to launch Projectified with PMI to provide the project management community with the opportunity to hear from industry influencers giving new perspectives related to a wide range of topics relevant to the industry and today’s changing marketplace,” said Mark A. Langley, President and CEO, Project Management Institute. “Our podcast series plans to feature lively conversations about hot topics and emerging trends impacting the world of projects from leading-edge thinkers inside and outside the project management profession.”
The podcast will specifically focus on topics related to innovation, artificial intelligence, career development, digital transformation, persuasive communication, agility and projects for social good. Podcast subjects will include senior and rising project managers, business leaders in Fortune 500 companies, best-selling authors and top researchers.
PMI celebrated the launch of its podcast by releasing three episodes to the public on Saturday featuring Dr. Michael Chui, partner at McKinsey Global Institute; Jacqueline Van Pelt, member of PMI’s Global Executive Council’s NextPerts group; and Anand Swaminathan, author of “Digital@Scale.”
The podcast will air every two weeks. Each episode of Projectified with PMI is free and lasts approximately 20 minutes. All episodes are available on PMI’s website at www.pmi.org/podcast, as well as iTunes, Google Play and SoundCloud.
