TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Warehouse TERRADA (Shinagawa, Tokyo/CEO: Yoshihisa Nakano) is pleased to announce that PIGMENT, our traditional art materials lab, will hold a series of workshops on Japanese painting techniques entitled “Workshops on Traditional Japanese Painting by PIGMENT T-ART ACADEMY” at the invitation of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow in the museum in the framework of the Public program for the exhibition Takashi Murakami.Under the Radiation Falls for four days on October 21st (Sat.), 22nd (Sun.), 28th (Sat.) and 29th (Sun.).
PIGMENT holds various “T-ART ACADEMY" workshops where participants learn
professional techniques up close using a variety of carefully selected
painting materials. At the workshops in October, Dr. Kei
Iwaizumi, PIGMENT Lab Chief, and Sayu Hasegawa, artist and PIGMENT Art
Material Expert, will serve as visiting instructors to demonstrate how
to use natural pigments and washi-paper used in Japanese paintings, and
the secrets of traditional techniques through workshops introducing kira-zuri
(mica printing), tsugigami (collaging), mizu-uchiwa
(Japanese style painting on water fan), and lectures on Japanese
In addition to these workshops, PIGMENT intends to undertake various initiatives in the future.
