TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vology, a leading Managed IT Services Provider, announced today that the company ranks No. 47 on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2017 list of the 200 largest private enterprises in the region, up two spots from 2016.
The TBBJ 200 consists of privately-held, for-profit companies headquartered in Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties, ranked by 2016 revenue. Vology is in Pinellas County.
Vology is the highest ranked information technology firm on the TBBJ 200. This is also Vology’s fifth consecutive placement on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s annual list. The company debuted on the Tampa Bay Business 100 in 2013 before the list was expanded into the TBBJ 200 in 2015.
“In 2001, Vology had just two employees – my wife and myself,” said Barry Shevlin, CEO of Vology. “Today, we’re Florida’s largest Managed IT Services Provider with offices across the country and customers around the world. None of this would have been possible without our experienced staff, loyal customers and supportive community. As we evolve into a $500 million solution provider by 2021, Vology continues to find new ways to invest in Tampa Bay.”
In 2016, Vology hired 80 new staff members. The company also relocated its headquarters and Network Operations Center to a 60,000-square-foot facility in Clearwater, Fla., last year. Shevlin, along with Governor Rick Scott, announced this May that Vology’s expansion will allow it to create 200 technology jobs over the next two to four years.
Vology, a leading Managed IT Services Provider, currently monitors, manages and maintains 260,000 devices at 32,000 customer sites through its two geographically redundant, U.S.-based 24/7/365 Network Operations Centers and its nationwide network of 2,200 fully vetted field technicians. Vology, an Inc. 5000-ranked fastest growing private company for 11 consecutive years, is headquartered in Clearwater, Fla. Vology employs more than 400 people across the U.S., 50% of whom are certified technical professionals and engineers.
