The Audit Trail application is designed to help financial institutions efficiently monitor and manage the audit and exam review process by providing a centralized place to store information critical to audits, exams, assessments, and reviews to easily submit pre-documentation and post-finding responses.

When regulatory agencies request a review of a financial institution, Audit Trail allows bankers to better manage the initial request list by streamlining the data for submission. The financial institution is able to upload required items into the application and auto populate the information where needed through Audit Trail’s customizable field-mapping function. The application also allows banks and credit unions to pull reports and information directly from a variety of Safe Systems services and applications accessed through the company’s customer portal, theSafe®.

Audit Trail also eliminates the burden of having one individual in charge of gathering the documents and reports required to prepare for a review and address review findings. The application allows bank staff to assign and track exam and audit activities to ensure every team member is kept updated on each step of the review process throughout the year. Audit Trail’s central library also helps reduce repetitive tasks by allowing bank staff to easily access and attach commonly used documents to the appropriate review.
