ALPS ETF Trust Announces Index Provider Change for ALPS Equal Sector Weight ETF

DENVER--()--ALPS ETF Trust Announces Index Provider Change For ALPS Equal Sector Weight ETF (NYSE Arca: EQL) (the “Fund”). Effective prior to the commencement of trading on October 2, 2017, the Fund’s Underlying Index will change from the Bank of America Securities – Merrill Lynch Equal Sector Weight Index (ticker symbol BASMLESW) to the NYSE Select Sector Equal Weight IndexSM (ticker symbol NYXLEW). The Fund’s name and ticker symbol remain unchanged.

The Fund’s investment performance, because it is an ETF of ETFs, depends on the investment performance of the Underlying Sector ETFs in which it invests. An investment in the Fund is subject to the risks associated with the Underlying Sector ETFs that comprise the Underlying Index. The Fund will indirectly pay a proportional share of the asset‐based fees of the Underlying Sector ETFs in which it invests.
