CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Great American Insurance Group is pleased to announce it has presented its 2017 Public Sector Risk Mitigation Award to Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC).
Great American presented this award to SISC chief executive officer Nick Kouklis and director Robert Kretzmer because of its members’ adoption and widespread implementation of STOPit. STOPit is a leading mobile platform that empowers students to anonymously report, prevent and provide follow up information about cyber-abuse and incidents of inappropriate behavior. Great American teamed up with STOPit to support the risk mitigation efforts of its public sector pool clients and to provide a safer environment for communities and schools.
"We are pleased to receive this recognition from Great American," says Robert Kretzmer, director of SISC II, the Property & Liability Division of SISC. "The STOPit platform has been an effective tool--one that serves to improve our schools' social environments."
“Great American is proud to support outstanding municipality, school and special service district pools like SISC,” says Scott Rohr, divisional president of Great American’s Public Sector Division. “We believe that pool members gain valuable resources and support from the pools in which they participate, and when members are successful, pools are successful.”
Through a strategic collaboration with Great American Insurance Group, the STOPit platform is offered at preferential pricing to more than 20% of K-12 public school students nationwide. STOPit is a key component of Great American’s comprehensive risk management program developed to help make schools across America safer.
