Translational Software Executives to Present Posters at Several Upcoming Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine Conferences

BELLEVUE, Wash.--()--Executives from Translational Software®, Inc. (TSI), a leader in the intelligent use of genetic data for clinical decision support, will be presenting key findings as posters at several leading pharmacogenomics (PGx) and precision medicine conferences in October including the European Society of Pharmacogenomics and Personalised Therapy meeting, Mayo Clinic’s Individualizing Medicine Conference and the Pharmacogenomics Research Network’s poster session and reception at the 2017 American Society of Human Genetics annual meeting.

TSI’s executives, including Don Rule, CEO, Houda Hachad, CSO and several of the company’s scientific leads and software architects, will present key analyses that demonstrate that:

  • Relevant PGx interactions are frequently encountered in patients taking commonly-prescribed medications in the U.S.;
  • PGx multiplex testing may help to preemptively identify patients likely to experience drug-gene interactions;
  • Genomic decision support is a proven tool for helping physicians and organizations methodically select and prioritize candidates for PGx testing; and
  • Successful PGx implementation is achievable at a large scale using a robust clinical decision support system.

Conferences and respective presentation topics include:

European Society of Pharmacogenomics and Personalised Therapy, October 4-7, Catania, Italy.
“Prioritizing Individuals and Patient Populations for Clinical Pharmacogenomics Testing.”
Authors: Houda Hachad, PharmD (presenter); Avadhut D. Joshi, PhD; Don Rule, MBA; Yin Xie.

Individualizing Medicine Conference, October 9-10, Rochester Minnesota.
“Large Scale Implementation of Clinical Pharmacogenomics: A Perspective From Using a Clinical Decision Support Tool.”
Authors: Houda Hachad, PharmD; Avadhut D. Joshi, PhD (presenter); Jared M. Munir; Jennifer J. Wong.

2017 PGRN-ASHG Poster Session & Reception, October 19, 6:30-8:00 pm, Orlando, Florida.
