Evertec Announces Hurricane Irma Relief Efforts

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico--()--Evertec, Inc. (“EVERTEC” or the “Company”) today announced that the Company is participating in three different programs to aid the victims of Hurricane Irma in Puerto Rico.

In cooperation with the Government of Puerto Rico, the First Lady Beatriz Rosselló and several of the largest companies in the commonwealth, Evertec has joined “United for Puerto Rico – Together Changing Trajectories”. The mission of the group is to raise money to aid the victims of Hurricane Irma on the island. As part of this initiative, Evertec has pledged to contribute $100,000 and in addition, Evertec’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Mac Schuessler, has joined the Executive Committee that will help manage the allocation of the relief funds.

Evertec and ATH have also established its #apoyoatodahora initiative. For every “like” to an Evertec or ATH post on their social media outlets, the Company will donate one dollar to Hurricane Irma disaster relief in Puerto Rico, up to $50,000.

Finally, with the support of its employees, Evertec has also joined Green Culebra, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the community and children of Culebra, Puerto Rico. Evertec has set up multiple collection stations at its corporate offices to collect products and food that will be delivered to 150 families in Culebra who suffered the effects of Irma.
