DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RailEyes, North America’s only distributor and installer of the best-in-industry escalator handrail advertising technology, ad-roller®, has signed a three-year agreement for use of RailEyes handrail ad technology at Kroenke Sports & Entertainment’s (KSE) Pepsi Center arena. The sponsorship allows brands to reach 2.1 million fans and spectators during Pepsi Center’s 185+ annual events. While an emerging concept in North America, escalator and moving walkway handrail advertising is quite prevalent across Europe, Asia and Australia.
Through vibrant colors and a durable, multi-layer technology made for escalator handrails, brands now have a new, meaningful way to reach potential customers before-and-after live events, while being close to the point-of-sale. RailEyes, a start-up based in Denver, takes just minutes to install, adheres to all maintenance requirements, and is just as quickly and easily removed without any residue.
“We knew that launching with the right partner would be pivotal to sharing the impact of our product,” said Atif Bhanjee, CEO, RailEyes. “KSE’s excitement around introducing this nascent advertising channel speaks to the company’s appetite for and encouragement of innovation and disruptive technology,” said Atif Bhanjee, CEO, RailEyes.
Unlike many advertising mediums, RailEyes’ handrail foils command attention. A recent campaign conducted in Australia showed 92 percent of patrons recalled seeing the branding, 87 percent named the brand advertised, and 60 percent said it encouraged them to learn more about the product. Via QR codes and tiny URLs, brands can provide exclusive offers and effectively measure ROI. And RailEyes is much more affordable than most out-of-home options with each consumer touchpoint costing the advertiser as little as $.05.
“Our clients are always asking for new, effective ways to engage with our patrons,” said Ben Boylan, Executive Vice President of Partnership Marketing & Media Sales, KSE. “But, with multi-device use and constant distractions, it’s not easy for brands to stand out. By teaming up with RailEyes, we are on the cutting-edge of advertising and can confidently bring an effective option to our sponsorship partners.”
The RailEyes technology is not simply an advertising mechanism; studies show that branded handrails promote safety. In a study conducted by SV University, Vienna Austria, Dr. Enst Pleger worked with ViewPoint Analyses to conclude that escalators with foils helped establish better awareness of the escalator when approaching and assisted riders gauge both speed and direction.
“It isn’t often that you get to introduce not just a new company, but a new marketing channel. Brands who advertise with RailEyes will not only reach people but will also be recognized as trend-setters; it’s a win-win,” said Bhanjee.
