NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Artist and visionary rebel, designer Anna Francesca hosted editors, fashion influencers and fashion’s elite at The Stewart Hotel for her latest women’s collection from her eponymous line, ANNA FRANCESCA-FASHION REVOLUTION. Bored with the mundane and rules of the world as we know it, Anna envisions her own fantastical realm and it serves as the inspiration for this collection. In this imaginary land, a young girl falls asleep. Dreaming, her mind wanders as she has fallen down a hueco [hole], landing first in a forest where she meanders on an adventure of colors throughout her journey. The collection boasts reds as Anna’s young girl passes through a desert spotted by sacred Date Palm trees; glow dust as her wanderer ventures through a magical Fairyland filled with flowers and butterflies; and winter white as she makes her way through a wintery, snowy ice land filled with bright stars and ruled by an Ice Queen. The imaginary land, Meyugori Date, its bounty of colors, and Anna’s young nomad serve as the theme of this collection.
Anna Francesca said, “It is a thrill to be back in New York for fashion week and have the opportunity to showcase my latest collection. Being an artist from Panama, I grew up in a world of colors. From a very early age, my passion for the arts and creative expression– from painting to sculpture to film and fashion – is the air that I breathe and is what has defined me. I am so excited to be here in New York again and have this opportunity to show my newest collection among the many other talented designers this week.”
The show included 41 looks from the collection. For images: http://assignments.gettyimages.com/mm/nicePath/gyipa_public?nav=pr542336365
