ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP), a nonprofit organization representing all stakeholders in the specialty pharmacy industry, is closing pre-conference registration on September 16, 2017 for its Annual Meeting and Educational Conference. Limited seating is still available for the conference, which takes place September 18-20, 2017 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C., as well as the Second Annual Specialty Pharmacy Law Conference and the First Annual Specialty Pharmacy Certification Preparation Course, both on September 18th. Hosting all specialty pharmacy stakeholders, the NASP annual meeting provides a unique opportunity to learn about new developments in specialty pharmacy, participate in continuing education sessions, make career connections, share best practices, and enhance patient lives.
The annual meeting provides pharmacist continuing education credit, managed through a partnership with ProCE, a nationally recognized provider of continuing education for health professionals. Educational sessions are guided by an advisory board composed of individuals nominated by member companies of NASP.
Opportunity to Earn Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits
NASP will host its second annual Specialty Pharmacy Law Conference the day before the annual meeting begins. Limited space is available for this unique, one-day conference intended for general counsel and in-house counsel for national and regional specialty pharmacies, practicing attorneys in health care law, compliance officers or executives concerned with the legal and regulatory requirements and the extraordinary complexities of operating a specialty pharmacy. Attendees can receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.
Seats Open for the Specialty Pharmacy Certification Exam Preparation Course
NASP will also host a one-day preparation course for pharmacists studying for the October examination administered by the Specialty Pharmacy Certification Board for Specialty Pharmacist certification. The course will cover aspects of clinical, fulfillment, intake and outcomes that might be expected on the exam.
