IRVINE, Calif.--()--CoreLogic® (NYSE: CLGX), a leading global property information, analytics, and data-enabled solutions provider, today announced that it has seeded Operation HOPE’s new Disaster Fund with $250,000.

Earlier this year, John Hope Bryant, founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of global financial dignity and economic empowerment nonprofit, Operation HOPE, launched the HOPE Disaster Fund (Fund) to enable a first line of response for financial recovery to disaster survivors. The Fund will underwrite efforts to provide necessary support to victims of natural and man-made disasters through the National Call Center, resources on the ground to provide financial recovery guidance, and sustainable support for the many months that it takes for individuals, families, and small businesses to rebuild and recover from the financial challenges created by disasters.

Through Operation HOPE’s financial emergency preparedness and recovery arm, HOPE Coalition America (HCA), the HOPE Disaster Fund allows the nonprofit to offer a full range of financial services at no cost to survivors, including emergency budgeting and credit counseling, assistance with deferring mortgage payments and communicating with creditors, support obtaining SBA loans, help with obtaining copies of destroyed financial documents, and more.

The significance of the HOPE Disaster Fund has been underscored by the devastating impact of Hurricane Harvey in Houston and coastal Texas in the last week, where survivors now face catastrophic property damage, business interruption, and job loss. HCA teams are on the ground in the impacted area serving as the financial recovery partner for the American Red Cross and FEMA.

A longtime supporter of Operation HOPE and its various initiatives, CoreLogic has contributed to Operation HOPE’s financial dignity education and economic empowerment programs since 2006.

“CoreLogic is proud to help Operation HOPE launch its Disaster Fund, which will provide life-changing aid to communities affected by disasters, like the current crisis in Houston,” said Frank Martell, CoreLogic president and CEO. “We are committed to John Hope Bryant’s vision of a sustainable household financial empowerment model, making sure when a disaster strikes we are able to help individuals and families recover from such a challenging moment in their lives.”

“We are grateful to CoreLogic for their continued support and for their generous donation to the HOPE Disaster Fund that will build a foundation through which we can help countless individuals across the country,” said Bryant. “CoreLogic’s leadership and contribution is an important step towards our goal of raising $2 million to help survivors recover with dignity.”
